“De tu a tu” is a Spanish expression that describes closeness, an absence of power-tripping; a willingness to be honest, in order to find the best solution for everyone involved.
That’s what missing from most language training programs. Most language schools focus so much on getting the grammar and vocabulary right that they totally ignore why humans need language skills: language creates connection. Humans use language to get what we want, to foster relationships, to understand, and to show what’s important.
